Who is the best person to write a research paper on between 1300 and 1800?

My son can't decide who would be the best person to write a renaissance research paper on. There are so many choices: Leonardo Da Vinci, Johannes Guttenberg, Isaac Newton and many more. We are just curious who people think was the most influental during 1300 to 1800. Thank you so much and God bless.
