Why are women who falsely accuse men of a crime, rarely punished ?

Unfortunately all to many women are resorting to these false allegations and go unpunished when they are proven to be liars. Such was the case in a case I defended a few years back for a young college man. Thankfully, most folks were smart enough to see that she was lying. And, the adult abuse cases are being abused also. The remedy there is for the man to ask for an award of attorneys fees against the woman.
