Are the Popes comments way out of line?

Fascist dictators do not urge, they order people about. If the UK is a Protestant country, why should it allow for equal rights for gays? The UK, is a secularistic state, that's why there are many Catholics there too. For as long as the Pope addresses his exhortation only to his Catholic fold, you cannot do anything about it, nor can you call the Pope fascistic.
