What is the ark of the covenant?

A box covered in gold. It contains the ten commandments, Aaron's rod that budded, and a jar of manna. There are two angels on the top whose wings are touching. There are rings attached that are for carrying the ark. Poles were slid through the rings, then it was lifted by four priests.
