Maybe it's just me but I've noticed that when someone who seems inexperienced on Saturday Night Live is hosting, the skits are dumb, or have dumb ideas. Do the hosts help write the skits or have any say over the skits they are in?

Pet Bird For Beginner?

Hello there! I was looking for a pet bird (obviously) for myself. I have owned a bird before, a little finch, but this wasn't the best experience for me. I would like to have a bird that is affectionate, quiet, and very, very friendly. I'm not too big on how pretty a bird looks, or how sweetly it sings. I have Dreams of Heath Ledger?

I'm 24, and I have the strangest dreams. Ever since the news of Heath Ledger ping, I sware, I dream of him constantly. I see him in almost ever dream I have!! I can not help it. I don't know why this is. I have even woken up in the middle of the night to be scared straight by something I saw in my bedroom. I even cry sometime after waking from a dream of Heath. I can literally cry constantly, anytime I think of Heath or see an old movie/interview with him. I never knew him personally, but I am so effected by him. What is going on? I don't understand why I have been so effected by Heath Ledger and his death. It does not ever leave my mind, even day to day. It's almost like I can not accept it. Dude you are over excessing on your cards. in a tournament you need to be able to draw and sumon you best cards upfront vey quickly. it seems to me you just loaded your deck with your favourite cards. If I were you i would try cutting my deck to around 40 to get the best draws, the way you make decks, im afraid to say is that you wont real the finals of a tournament the way your deckbuilding is concerned. no offence . its a good deck to oggle at but would be bad to duel with. ahve a rethink of what cards you have and which has the desired effects that you want to have in your dck. good lucl in the tourney. When you go to local businesses make sure you bring some things you've designed. Do you know any friends who have businesses? Go to them first. Network with others. Use one of the online services such as printrunner.com for printing. They do drop shipping. Market yourself in your area as being able to print in low cost and in full color. Local printers have a hard time competing with full color printing. The online places can do it so much cheaper. You could mark up what you order from them, or you could just be honest and tell them where you get it and then just charge for design. Hope that helps. There is alot more to it, which I wont go into. Research all you can.

We have stayed there and have never had a bad experience. Our theory is that it is so central to all of the things we wanted to do. It is across the street from the zoo and a block away from the best beach for children. I wouldn't say it was a luxury hotel, but then we are not in the room for long. Im 16 and Ive been obssesive about my weight for a few years now. It reached a peak a few weeks ago when I realized dieting and exercise wasnt enough to make me lose weight. Obviously this has me hooked so its all i think about 24/7 and I freak when ppl try to make me eat. But after a week or so I start to crave food so i binge-eat. I puke sometimes but not always. I cant eat normally. Mainly I just dont eat. And I feel happy when I dont eat. When I do eat I feel soooo depressed and down I begin to hate myself for eating. This is a cycle and I feel out of control like I cant stop. Is this an eating disorder or just stress or something? Please, please help.

My son was diagnosed at 8 wks with pyloric stenosis. His symptoms were projectile vomiting, brown vomit, lack of bowel movements, and overall fussy. We had been to the hospital 3 times before and they told us reflux disease, so we finally went to another hospital and they took an xray of his tummy, then an ultrasound. The muscle at the bottom of his stomache had grown so large it was actually cutting off the flow of food to his bowels. I would agree that it seems on par with Mozart's sonatas and therefore should be fine. However, you might want to check, if you're applying to more than one school, that all the schools' requirements simply require a "clical sonata" -- sometimes they specifically ask for Mozart, Haydn, or Beethoven (I even saw one school that only wanted Beethoven when I was auditioning). If there are no specifications of composer, then by all means play the Clementi. Good luck!

I went off birth control about a month and a half ago. I took the first two pills of a new pack before my husband surprised me by saying he was ready to go off and start a family. I intended to finish that month, but some things came up and I just ended up throwing it out after 2 days. Anyways, the ending date of my last period was around Oct. 18 or 19. I had two days of spotty bleeding around the 22-23 (I imagine this was due to taking 2 pills of a new pack and then tossing it). I haven't gotten my period yet and i'm unsure whether to date from my "real" period or the 2 days of spotting for a HPT. Can I test yet, or should I wait another week?? You may be lacking some kind of fine adjustment. If it was the cover-slip, you would get a bad image right from the start no matter what lens you were using. Check if the 40x is well attached, for a start, and if it is clean (this may be a tricky part). I don't know how sure you are about the objective you're using, but this also may happen if you are actually using a lens that should be used with oil.

Two days ago I was eating fine (probably even over eating a little bit) but after that I just didn't feel hungry anymore so i didn't eat the next day. i barely had anything to eat that day and i noticed that my stomach hurt a lot because of hunger so i ate a bowl of cornflakes and a green apple as a snack around 7pm. Today I woe up many times because I was so hungry then at around 10pm had some toast and scrambled eggs then quickly felt better and pretty full, throughout the day i nibbled on some things but wasn't able to eat much at a time, now I didn't want to eat anything because i felt full (i felt a little depressed and mentally exhausted after a long fight with my sister) I had a can of coke instead. when i finished drinking i felt really hungry and weak. But right now i'm forcing myself to eat an apple because my stomach hurts so much that i feel sick after taking the first bite. I'm scared that i'm going into depression or anorexia. is there anyway to keep myself from slipping into anorexia? Am i sick?

I have a 13 week old puppy that does not know when he is full?

I have a 13 week old doxie puppy. I have had a gazillion dogs and puppies before and have NEVER run into anything like this. He will eat until his stomach is wider than he is long! I took him to the vet, (he is "congested" and on antibiotics right now also) and I asked him about his distended stomach, I just wanted to see if maybe it was something else and not that he eats too much. Old country vet said it is too much food. Thing that sucks is my other puppy (a 9mo old pit) is used to free feeding and now I have to play kibble nazi and just give the doxie a handful... run and feed the pit and then stand there to keep the doxie away from the pits food! UGHHHH. Have any of you run into this and is this something he will HOPEFULLY grow out of? BTW even if I only feed him in the am and give him a handful in the pm his stomach is still huge. OMG thats exactly how i feel about the ACT test. They give us like 25 questions for 25 minutes for each section. In one section they give like 30 questions in 25 minutes. LIKE WTF? thats less then a minute for each question. Urinary problems please help!?

n the past 3 months give or take I've noticed a weird smell to my urine. At first I figured it was a bladder infection. I've had them before but this was different because usually bladder infections get steadily worse if you don't do anything about it. This has stayed consistently the same. When I have to go to the bathroom to urinate it feels like I really have to go bad sometimes. This isn't ALL the time but most of the time and its an odd sweet smell kind of like maple syrup. It looks pretty normal in color though.. Maybe a lil cloudy. Like I said not all the time but most of the time and its not painful... Just a little uncomfortable. I finally googled my symptoms today and it said this is a sign of diabetes... I'm 23 years old though wouldn't I know if I had diabetes? I also think it may have to do with my diet because I moved out of my parents house around the time it started so I probably haven't been eating very well. I'd go to the doctor but I don't have health insurance... Although I may have to anyway. Has anyone ever heard of this? Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated!

I was pretty excited... then about 15 min later, I had what I think was ovulation pains.. never felt it before.. all this is good, however due to husband having to work we were unable to BD that night.. we did however BD on 6/8... cycles are on average 30 days.. The fact that your Grandma thinks it was okay for him to speak that way makes me question how much she loves them. As a step-dad to young children you should treat them as your own and love them, as a step-dad to older children it's difficult because they're already partly grown but he should still love them unconditionally. I am 1 day late and getting BFNs!?

I am currently ttc #2. I just got off of the mini pill at the end of January. I did not have any of my normal "O" symptoms so I am not certain that I ovulated this cycle. I conceived my first child on the first cycle but this time I am late and getting BFNs. I got a BFP at 2 days late with my first baby. I have absolutely NO symptoms of either AF or PG. When should I be concerned about AF not showing. I HATE seeing BFNs and I am very confused because normally I can track my fertility symptoms/signs and I am not getting anything this time at all.

After reading your details I am curious if perhaps when you pulled the box away from the shelf if it may have pulled one of your wires out of the tv. If your tv is about ten years old then it probably only has a coaxial cable input in the back. I am curious if perhaps the cable wire going from the box to the tv is loose. These unusual marriages can happen because we live in a great country bound by principles of freedom. In what other place are citizens promised justice and the pursuit of happiness? Yet a growing percentage of our population is not fairly represented. couples need to be given equal representation. To enforce this, all ceremonies should be titled the same. “Civil unions” do not equal marriages. Referring to ual marriages differently impacts the mind set of our society. This change in language implies that gay couples seeking the bond of marriage are to be perceived negatively, in comparison to couples uniting in a heteroual marriage. Each citizen should be given the same rights in his or her own pursuit of happiness. Legalizing marriage is important for strengthening our country’s principles. Perhaps there are times we all wish Cupid would only strike that certain someone who has caught our attention. However, we all know this is as unrealistic as slipping that person a love potion. No one can tell us the ideal spouse we must fall in love with, especially our government. Feeding into the idea that a man can only love a woman and vise versa is unconstitutional. In America, we can practice whatever religion we choose, without our government interfering. Likewise, politics should not mix with marriage; this would be dancing the fine line of taking away our rights as citizens. Furthermore, in many cases, one spouse depends on the other for benefits that are only granted through marriage. In my home, my mother is not employed, so my father’s insurance pays her medical bills. We only promise this financial istance to those who marry the we delegate. Should our government deny citizens health coverage that they would have an equal share in if only they were attracted to the “right” ? Gay marriage should be recognized so couples can be entitled to the same benefits of heteroual couples. Undoubtedly, marriage has religious connotations, which is why it is perceived as a permanent union before God. Nevertheless, there are still discreet polygamous unions in some sects of Mormonism. In such an unyielding society, is giving ourselves to several mates acceptable? All gay couples want is to promise themselves to one person. Traditionally, weddings are between a man and a woman, but our world is changing just as rapidly as it is growing. The definition no longer applies, nor needs to be taken so literally. Many gung-ho parishioners debate that gay marriage is an abomination. However, no one can lay judgment but God, which we are forgetting. Also, some quote Scriptures, “Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor uals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”(1 Corinthians, Chapter 6). This is interesting because while society is singling out people who are gay, other “sinners” are willingly supported. For example, AA meetings can be attended without alcoholics being publicly shamed. Most importantly, is Christianity the only religion? Aren’t we taught, even if we don’t agree, to respect others’ beliefs? And, moreover, do we want our government to dictate religion? We do not live under a theocracy, nor should we, if we expect equality. In America, every day we practice freedoms we’ve been granted. Shouldn’t rights be applied to marriage? It is our responsibility to instill equality in every aspect of life. Accepting and respecting differences are ideas the majority of Americans share. On our wedding day, we shouldn’t have to worry if our decision is acceptable to our government. We should not be consumed by thoughts that our marriage is not as significant as another’s. It is our duty to legalize gay marriage.

I think I understand what you mean, but in my own different way. When I was really depressed I felt soo detached from the real world, I never really had many friends or did a lot of normal things because I felt soo insecure; I ended up becoming a cutter and I remember that I felt embared by it but I also felt more alive because at least something was happening to me that I could feel was real and would make other people see me as a real human being, because I always felt alien to everyone else. My suggestion would be to start living life, exploring new ideas/activities/hobbies, I think that if you did that it would make you start to feel more satisfied.

At first, do a lot of practice problems. Then sit down and take full tests. After a taking a few full tests, begin to time yourself so that you will know how to pace yourself. I used a book from Kaplan. I wasn't too excited about my score after my first try, so then I tried an online SAT tutor-type thing with Kaplan (if you don't want to spend 100s of $, however, don't bother). That was basically just more practice problems with tips on what types of questions there are, etc. On my second try, my score was raised by 150 points.

Fishes, what you are going to have to do is see an orthopedist. They are going to have to x-ray the thumb and see if it has been broken and if it has set in an improper position. If it has set in a wrong position they are going to have to re-break it and set it correctly. This will allow the tendons and any ligaments that are being stressed to re-ume their normal positions. By the way it is not unusual for many people not to seek medical attention for such injuries. Some of them are able to get by and others cannot. The only way to know what has happened and what to do about it is to get it evaluated by an orthopedist.
